The drying process
is reached through hot air circulation and humid air extraction,
with final cooling of the dried material.
Each unit is
composed of:
-
Discharge
cyclone and special storage silo, made of sheet steel, located
on a dosing rotary valve, driven by a variable speed gear box.
-
Hot air
generator unit, completely automatic, provided with independent
electric heating elements, that assure a continuous production
of hot, clean and dry air. Its design has been studied to
guarantee the highest heating efficiency, with a very low energy
cost.
-
Centrifugal-type blower fan/exhauster with axial suction and
open impeller, connected to a rotary valve by a conveyor. It is
provided with a thermocouple that adjusts the right mixture of
air and material to be sent to the drying system.
-
Drying tower
with special zigzag shape to prevent material from sticking,
with inspection window and piping system in zinc-coated steel.
It has a spiral shape to prolong material contact with hot air.

Cooling tower
provided with cyclone to separate the hot air from the material
and with electric blower fan to transport the material to the
discharging section.

This
drying unit is designed to be employed in drying pellets or rigid
ground plastics.
The
unit is characterised by a mechanic/thermal action. From the loading
hopper the material enters the horizontal feeding auger; through the
auger bored basket, moving forward toward the centrifuge, part of
material water is discharged.
In the vertical centrifuge the product suffers a strong dynamic
action which, combined with a hot air flux, completes total moisture
elimination.
The equipment is fixed on wheels for easy travel and is composed of:

Three-stage sound-proofed vertical centrifuge for water/pellet
separation

Electro-blowing fan for hot air transport through the centrifuge

All
metallic parts in contact with water are made of
stainless steel.
