FEEDING SYSTEMS FOR EXTRUDERS
The extruders can be equipped with different material feeding systems, according to the specific characteristics of the same.
The production of P.R.T. Service & Innovation differs as follows:

The DS and DSC series force feeding systems allow easy introduction to the extruder of materials coming from various types of work, characterized by different specific weights.
More precisely: the DS series uses a special conical screw, designed to process leaf, film, expanded, rigid, agglomerated, densified materials and granules, while the DSC series is equipped with a more economical, cylinder-shaped locking screw which allows the processing of rigid, densified materials and granules.
The feeding system is essentially made up of a collection silo (equipped with inspection/cleaning hatch) and three moving areas for material: a constant-speed agitator, with four blades, placed on the bottom of the silo, feeds the horizontal extraction screw which, in turn, feeds the vertical forcing screw which has the task of introducing the material to the extruder.
The machine is electronically controlled: the speed of the forcing screw is set using an inverter and kept constant based on the type of material processed, while a PLC control regulates automatically the rotation speed of the (horizontal) extraction auger based on electrical absorption of the extruder motor.

The forced feeding system is the most effective system for the introduction into the extruder of grinded material with a low specific weight, particularly suitable for thermoplastic film.
It is essentially made up of a collection silo and two areas for moving materials: a variable speed agitator, with four blades, placed on the bottom of the silo, constantly feeds the vertical forcing screw, whose speed is maintained constant at a value set based on the characteristics of the material processed.
The machine is electronically controlled: two inverters regulate the two electrical motors, while a PLC control regulates the rotation speed of the agitator based on electrical absorption by the extruder motor.
In this way, the system allows the user to take advantage of the whole power applied to the extruder, independently from the apparent density of the material processed.

The AC and ACC series feeding systems allow easy introduction to the extruder of materials coming from dosing units, characterized by different specific weights.
More precisely: the AC series uses a special conical screw, designed to process leaf, film, expanded, rigid, agglomerated, densified materials and granules, while the ACC series is equipped with a more economical, cylinder-shaped locking screw which allows the processing of rigid, densified materials and granules.
The machine can be controlled with automatic adjustment or manual adjustment.
Manual adjustment: the speed of the screw is set and kept constant by an inverter, according to the type of material.
Automatic adjustment: a software manages the screw speed and material loading system through the analysis of motor extruder.
FEEDING HOPPERS WITH ROTARY VALVE TR MODELS

Feeding systems studied for rigid, agglomerated, densified materials and granules.
It’s made by one hopper for the storage of the material and one rotary valve.
It consists of an hopper for the collection of the material and a rotary valve, driven by a gear motor, equipped with an inverter. The rotation speed, and then the dosing of the material to the extruder, is closely linked to the speed of the extruder screw through ratios preset by the operator.
These machines can be equipped with additional dosing units.

The volumetric dosing units DPM are normally used to feed, or directly the extruder or the other feeding systems, with granules, pellets, rigid material and masterbatch.
The adjustment can be either manual or controlled type with special software that adjusts the flow according to the speed of the extruder screw.

The volumetric dosing units DPP are normally used to feed, or directly the extruder or the other feeding systems, with powders and additives.
The adjustment can be either manual or controlled type with special software that adjusts the flow according to the speed of the extruder screw.
EMPTYING BIG-BAGS SYSTEMS SVBB MODELS
These machines are normally used to transport material coming from big-bags to the feeding systems.
The main frame has an adjustment height for the application of different sizes of big-bag.
The support hopper is equipped with guards, vibrators, inspection doors and bridge breakers.
SVBB can be equipped with transport systems such as auger or fan.
